Lulu Streltzer

Born and raised in Hawaii, Audrey Luana Streltzer (Lulu) values and strives to live the Aloha way. To her this means a dedication to service, a deep respect for the environment and people, an openness to learn more and admit to mistakes all with a big smile.
She initially began her yoga journey in 1996 when she discovered her interest and personal need for body awareness. She has practiced and trained in various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin. Studying the human body has been fascinating to Lulu, while she enjoyed getting her hands on bones in the cadaver lab to learn the anatomical structure, she has an intuitive approach that helps bodies feel good from the inside out. Her style of teaching involves a blend of various forms of yoga, fitness, and dance. Certifications include, The Yoga Workshop, Core Power yoga, pre-natal, and kids yoga along with Thai Bodywork.
Consistent practice and training at Richard Freeman’s The Yoga Workshop, has influenced her career greatly. Lulu received a master degree in both Tibetan Buddhism and Sanskrit from Naropa University. Daily meditation, psychology experiments, and the dathun (month long) silent retreat Lulu took part in, continue to serve her in guiding others. She also has had practice and training at the Upaya Zen center in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Lulu feels strongly that the practice is a forever process and there is always more to learn. Lulu has also received certifications through AFFA, in fitness and personal training.
Minoring in dance at the University of Colorado, brings a fluid feeling of movement to her classes. Lulu has been fortunate to learn from many amazing teachers around the world including her family, friends, the list is endless and continues to grow. These people, Oahu, her birth home, and her current residence on Kaua’i offer Lulu the support and guidance she needs to eagerly give more.

3 Things I love:

Delicious Food

Why I love yoga:

It makes me life better in every way.
Reminds me to breathe and that I don’t have to do anything else.
I feel immediate results in my body and mind.

Aloha! I’m Leticia Elzaurdia or @sweaty_leti

I’ve been passionate about fitness since I was a preschooler on the playground leading my eager peers in a Jane Fonda-inspired “workout.” I attended the San Francisco Academy of Ballet as a kid, and even danced for a year en pointe. Dance has always been a fun outlet for me and ballet instilled in me a love for expressive movement balancing power with grace. Growing up in the Bay Area, I participated in team sports, weightlifting, and cardio fitness classes, which all added fun dimensions to physically challenging my body and mind.
I am a forever-student; I love discovering things I want to delve into.  For me nerding out is a passion! We are always a work in progress… motivation, personality, how we navigate the world… in our bodies as well. Yoga and strength training tap into our dualities. Strength and Flexibility together define our Mobility.  Ease may balance our Effort. Breath is our Rhythm. Being invested in your body for these practices gives the mind a chance to expand beyond your own will and personal experiences.
In 2014 I began leading free classes to friends on the North Shore. This group helped me cultivate a unique fitness class, an ever-changing hybrid, distilling and fusing a multitude of fitness practices into just one hour. In addition to body-weight movements, I incorporate elements from barre, Pilates, power yoga, kickboxing, weight training, and breath work into intervals of cardiovascular endurance and targeted muscle burnouts to sculpt and build a balanced and strong physique. Because music gives me life, I design a playlist for each class to keep our tempo for us, so no boring counting reps! Each song I select to inspire us to push our perceived limits and be motivated for the next challenge. Dance “breaks” serve as fun “active rest” and Savasana is always a welcome finale to my class!
I taught SCULPT at Waves Yoga Kauai when the doors first opened and have since earned my Certification as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. I feel like I’ve only just begun to really learn about the mind-body connection and I hope to discover more with you on our fitness journey!

3 Things I love:

Green enchiladas, Felines of all sizes, Crowded dance floors

Why I love yoga:

I love practicing yoga because it challenges my will. It has simultaneously humbled me and made me feel so powerful. I feel like an insignificant piece of dust… and that same piece of dust when it floats thru a light shaft and sparkles spectacularly! Surrender has taken me to magical places and I show up in hopes of the next voyage…

I started practicing yoga when I was 16 years old during a very challenging and unstable point in my life. I continued my practice consistently for 10 years before doing my first teacher training, solely for the purpose of deepening my own practice. However, shortly after completing my 200 RYT training in 2016 I was presented with the opportunity to start teaching. I have been teaching ever since and have had the privilege to teach everything from seniors to sculpt!  Yoga has always been the one constant in my ever changing and evolving life and I love being able to provide and encourage that experience for anyone attending my class.

Musical Artists:

I would say music plays a huge part in putting together my classes. I definitely don’t play a lot of “traditional” yoga music in my class. I like to play music that is familiar, sometimes nostalgic, and hopefully enjoyable!  You can almost guarantee that I’ll slip a Rolling Stones song into my playlist or least some good soul music like Curtis Mayfield or some Nina Simone.

3 Things I love:

Running- I am a marathon runner. I set a goal this year to run a marathon on every island and I only have one left!

Cooking- cooking is another form of moving meditation for me. My favorite dish to make is green curry from scratch.

Kauai- Anyone who has ever lived here or even visited here knows this is a special and sacred place. I am beyond grateful I get to live here and call this island home.

Why I love yoga:

Whether it’s just 5 minutes or 1 hour, the volume inside my head gets turned all the way down, and you find that space where you can just be, and breath, and move, and nothing is good or bad and everything is exactly as it should be. I’m pretty sure that is called grace.

Matt has a unique holistic approach to working with clients in and out of the yoga studio to help successfully restore physical, mental, and emotional balance. He attributes some of his greatest learning lessons to challenging himself in the ocean. It taught him about strength, surrender, and finding “the flow”.
Matt’s professional surfing career sparked his interest in physical training, mobility, and nutrition at a very early age. He began studying and practicing yoga and found that it was just what he needed to continue growing physically and spiritually, in and out of the water.
Matt’s own journey to liberation began with nature based philosophies that are accessible and intuitive and he wishes to translate his own findings through his yoga teachings.
Yoga and longevity go hand in hand and teaching drives his passionate work for personal and planetary wellness.

Ginger-Zietz

Ginger Zietz

Aloha, I’m Ginger Zietz from Princeville Kauai, yoga sculpt teacher and personal trainer. I’ve always been a very active person. Participating in everything from surfing, hiking, weight training to running marathons, so being in the fitness industry is just a part of who I am.
My teaching journey started about six years ago working as a personal trainer in Waikiki. Eventually leading from Waikiki to Fuzion Fit in Haiku on Maui, and recently back to teaching here in my home town with the community that I grew up with.
Yoga has only been in my life for about four years now, but it has changed everything. Yoga was truly the missing link in my life. Being so non-stop active was taking a toll on my nervous system and my over-all health. Yoga has been my answer, just 60 minutes of dropping in and noticing my breath, body and slowing everything down.
My teaching style is fun and energetic, focusing on mind body connection and awareness. As of now I teach yoga sculpt, so come join in the party with me!
Mahalo.

She grew up making surf trips down to Baja with her family, which later extended into her exploration through Central and South America for many years. During her travels she discovered paths to her inward journey. In 2015 Nerissa found herself in beautiful Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, studying various modalities of meditation and healing. After this experience she decided to return to her roots, to complete her yoga teacher training at Yogalution, a community and donation based yoga studio in Long Beach. Her return home, and a spontaneous surf trip to Indonesia inspired “Lola Surf and Yoga Retreat”. She created, launched, and lead “Lola” for a year in Costa Rica.
Nerissa has also delved deeper into body awareness through her work in massage therapy, completing her 800 hours as a wholistic practitioner in California. She strongly believes in the importance of relaxation and restoration.
